Stones Fan Blog – Maidstone United top league goal scorer prediction for the season 2016/2017 is ?

A few weeks back now a voting poll was placed on the Stones fan blog site and the question asked who is your Maidstone United top league scorer prediction for the 2016/2017 season?

After two goals against Chester maybe Kevin Lokko should have been added to the choices for selection especially after the first goal.

So, after a week of voting the result was a close one and four players gained all the votes in the poll.

In joint second place with 16.67% of the vote is Alex Fisher and Joe Pigott. Flisher currently has four goals in the league this season. With Flisher hitting the post against Chester it won’t be long before the ball is in the back of the net. Loan player Joe Pigott who got off the mark at the weekend with an excellent performance in the match against Chester now starts his tally.

With thirteen games remaining I would predict Flisher to finish higher than Pigott however after Pigott’s goal at the weekend, could this weekend away to Braintree bring a hatful of goals for the striker?

The result for first place was again very close and the two winners with 33.33% of the vote were Maidstone United’s current leading league goal scorer Bobby Joe Taylor who has a current tally of six and Yemi Odubade who has not long returned from injury and is yet to get back into the first eleven. Yemi Odubade currently has four league goals to his name, but his goals to game ratio is good and the pacey striker who has an eye for goal will shortly add to his tally soon.

Overall the result was not a surprising one and with thirteen games remaining it will be interesting to find out who REALLY will be named Stones Fan Blog – Top League Goal scorer for Maidstone United 2016/2017 season?
