Tuesday night will see Maidstone United take on Dagenham and Redbridge at Victoria Road Dagenham.
The Stones will be looking to continue their unbeaten run, but this will be a tough ask as the Daggers are in fine form and pushing for promotion.
Maidstone United will have a full squad to pick from and Delano Sam-Yorke who sadly has two games remaining at the club will probably start the game.
The Stones will need to remain solid, I do wonder if Jay will make a few slight alterations to the side as this will be a different type of match tomorrow night.
Whilst we would love a win, it will be better to pick up a point rather than none but if play too defensive we could come unstuck and end up with nothing. A counter attacking team maybe, Jay has plenty of options with the squad he has and will know how best to use them.
Every Maidstone United player will need to be at their best for this match if we are to obtain any points at all from this game. A solid, cohesive performance with every player working for each other communicating and most of all taking the small chances that we get. Finishing will play a massive part in this game and we need the same type of finishing that was on show at Gallagher when we played Chester.
Every chance we get needs to be on target and testing the Daggers keeper.
Set plays could become important as well with corners and free kicks just outside the box being potential game changers.
The subs will also be valuable, who Jay puts on his bench could provide him the options to save a match, or a seal a match.
Stones fan blog prediction : Dagenham and Redbridge 1 – 2 Maidstone United
I have gone for a Stones victory as I believe we will raise our game because of the standard of the opposition and with the weekend clean sheet at Braintree I believe our defence will be difficult to break down. Our numerous attacking options will cause Dagenham & Redbridge problems and the finishing that gave us a well-deserved victory at Chester will return.
Come on you Stones !!!
