Maidstone United vs Southport player ratings

Lee Worgan – Always alert some clean punches when needed and communicated effectively on free-kicks. Rating 8

Jamie Coyle – Took a little while to get going but once he was back into his game looked solid. Rating 7

Kevin Lokko – Looking very consistent now at the back and his ability to grab the odd goal or two is becoming invaluable. Rating 9

Tom Mills – Did what he had to do, solid game. Rating 8

Seth Nana Twumasi – Coming forward he is a real threat, could have been a bit more solid at the back has played better. Rating 7

Jake McCarthy – Looked way off match pace to start but improved as the game went on needs more match time. However, with Stuart Lewis back next game he might have to wait for a first eleven opportunity. Rating 6

Reece Prestedge – Experienced midfield display, calm confident and lead the midfield missed his midfield wingman Stuart Lewis at times in the first half. Rating 8

Jack Paxman – Not one of Jacks best games, Tuesday night took a lot out of him. Could not fault the midfielders work rate. Rating 7

Jamar Loza – Alongside Pigott caused the Southport defence some real headaches. Clinical finish, good link play and a calmly taken penalty. Rating 10

Joe Pigott – Confidence, quality really starting to show now and it is clear to see he is enjoying his football.  His finish on Tuesday night was pure class and he carried that form into this game. Pigott’s layoffs, link play, distribution and finishing all contributed to an excellent game. Rating 9.

Delano Sam-Yorke – Southport had done their homework on Delano, but with the focus on Delano this gave Joe and Jamar more space and time in the box. Steady game, emotional day, and a fond farewell to Delano. Rating 8

Subs will not be rated due to lack of match time.

Bobby Joe Taylor, Harry Phipps and Yemi Odubade.

Stones Fan blog MOM : Jamar Loza the trickster caused Southport no end of problems and his link play and partnership with Joe Pigott was magnificent to see.

Team Rating: Disappointed to see the clean sheet go, but what did shine through is the ability for the Stones to battle and believe they have the quality and they do have the quality to turn games around. Rating 9
