Today Jay Saunders and Maidstone United announced the contract signing of right back Seth Nana Twumasi for the 2017/18 season.
The attacking right back had a good season with the Stones and with the club switching to day time training sessions next season Seth will only improve.
Seth played a total of nineteen games during the 2016/2017 season and was a regular in the starting eleven that confidently beat relegation finishing fourteenth in the league.
Seth has pace, the ability to beat players and crosses well. Seth does need to work further on his defensive game but a full season and daytime training will bring with it more confidence in this area.
I am very pleased with this contract signing and believe we will get to see the best of this talented player next season.
Jay Saunders will surely look to switch his focus to the centre back positions over the coming month with the club having released two centre backs, player coach Jamie Coyle and Anthony Acheampong.
This pre-season is already proving very interesting and there is still a long way to go.
