Tonight, Maidstone United announced the signing of ex – Hull City youth player Johan ter Horst.
Johan who began his career at Folkstone Invicta aged eighteen grabbed an impressive twenty-six goals in his debut season.
His impressive first season alerted many clubs but the three-year contract on offer by Hull City tempted the young striker.
Now 22 years old the striker is looking for a fresh start away from Hull City and Jay Saunders has taken this opportunity to add the pacey striker to his squad.
The striker is a typical poacher, able to play on the wing and offers Jay Saunders additional pace in the front line.
Jay Saunders will be hoping that Johan can recreate the form that launched his career.
Johan will likely miss pre-season due to a shoulder injury so the youngster will need to work hard after his recovery to gain match fitness.
The Stones needed more depth to the squad and Johan will relish the opportunity to show what he can do.
This is an interesting signing Johan maybe a wild card but having taken a look at the player on YOU TUBE the lad has certainly got an eye for goal.
Maidstone United have given him the opportunity so now it will be down to the player to show what he can do.
