Maidstone United strengthen squad with the signing of Josh Hare but what other positions do we need to strengthen?

On the 29th June Maidstone United and Jay Saunders announced the signing of utility man Josh Hare from Eastbourne Borough FC.

Twenty-two-year-old Josh Hare can play right back, centre back and in midfield so will offer the Stones manager plenty of options for the long National League season that awaits.

The squad is coming together nicely but what positions do the Stones still need to strengthen before the season begins?

In my view, the position of reserve goalkeeper needs to be addressed. With Ben Bridle-Card now at Greenwich Borough FC as far as I am aware we have no competent reserve goalkeeper.

Lee Worgan is first-choice goalkeeper but an injury to Worgan during the season, could not only effect results it could cost us the season.

Jay could look to the youth squad but I believe we require a keeper with experience at National League level or at least National League North/South level.

It will be interesting to see if this will be addressed before the National League campaign gets fully underway.
